Speeds – Scooters are much easier to ride than motorbikes, but they’re also slower and don’t have the kind of brakes fitted on motorcycles. 3. Lifespans – Scooters generally don’t have very long lifespans. Be mindful if you’re shopping for a used scooter. What would seem like low mileage on a car is high mileage for a scooter. 4. Helmet – Whatever your scooter budget, put aside about a grand for a decent helmet. You may not want to use a full face helmet on a scooter, but make sure your helmet does have a visor that you can pull down to protect your eyes. Sunglasses aren't always sufficient enough. 5. Storage – Check that you have large storage space under the seat, Big enough to put your helmet in. Nobody wants to carry around a helmet. 6.
